The Handmaid's Truth

Wow, watching the The Handmaid's Tale on Hulu has me hooked. Last night as I watched the episode, June said something I knew to be true. If a man would hurt a woman, he would also hurt a child.

Let the statement sink in. I'm sharing it because I find it to be true. My father did physically and emotionally hurt my mother, and he did the same to us, his children. Physical and emotional abuse go together, there isn't one without the other.

If someone you love is hurting you, please know he would also hurt your children. Abuse leaves a mark on all who witness and experience it. Just a short post today, but wanted to share.
